Additional Info:
The services which Dr. Rubin provides are limited to psychological evaluation, assessment, consultation, and intervention. Psychological assessment may include the use of psychological tests; psychological intervention may include counseling and psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy is not easily described in general statements. It varies depending on the particular problems the client brings and the personality of both the client and the therapist. There are several different approaches that can be used to address problems. Generally, in therapy, Dr. Rubin incorporates approaches described as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal, and family systems therapy. Unlike visiting a medical doctor, psychotherapy requires a very active effort on the client's part. In order to be most successful, you will have to work on things you talk about with Dr. Rubin in between sessions with her and at home.
